Metals have facilitated humankind’s development – from the Iron Age through to today’s hi-tech world. Precious and specialty metals and materials such as platinum, cobalt or germanium also enable the technologies that are helping solve some of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges such as the need for cleaner air or reducing carbon emissions.
